K-1 is back in action in Europe with K-1 world GP Euro. K-1 has gone back to there roots in Europe with the 8 man tournament. K-1 has had success in Japan with the 8 man GP and feels that the fans want to see this Europe. K-1 Director Nenad Kuruc is quoted as saying ” 8 man tournaments and GPs is what put K-1 on the map and made it a global brand, time to get back to our roots in Europe”
K-1 first event will be a -95kg GP in Belgrade, Serbia this Oct 27th with two more events to be announced this year in -75kg and -85kg. The euro GPs will focus on young exciting fighters, K-1 has always managed to find the next big thing in the past and will focus on doing so again.
“It’s not weather you win or lose, it’s the effort you give in the ring, did you come to fight and put on a show or did just come for the pay? We are looking for fighters who leave it all in the ring” as K-1 director Nenad Kuruc puts it.
